Delhi High Court Allows Farhan Akhtar’s ‘120 Bahadur’ to Release on November 21

Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming war drama 120 Bahadur has received a major boost as the Delhi High Court has allowed the film to release nationwide on November 21. A petition had been filed requesting the court to stop the release, but the court has now dismissed it.

The petition claimed that the movie presented “incorrect historical facts” about the 1962 Battle of Rezang La, where 120 Indian soldiers fought bravely against Chinese forces. According to the complainants, the film focused too much on one soldier’s heroism instead of honouring all 120 martyrs equally.

In court, the filmmakers clarified that every soldier’s name is included in the end credits, giving proper respect to all who fought in the real battle. After reviewing this assurance, the Delhi High Court ruled that there was no reason to block the release.

With this decision, 120 Bahadur is now fully cleared for its theatrical launch.

Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai, the film stars Farhan Akhtar and Raashii Khanna and is produced by Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios. The movie highlights the courage, sacrifice and patriotism shown by Indian soldiers during one of the toughest battles in history.

This court approval is an important moment for films based on real events. It shows how transparent communication and respectful representation can help filmmakers avoid controversies and move forward confidently with their releases.

As 120 Bahadur gears up for its release on 21 November, audiences are eagerly waiting to see how the film brings this heroic story to life on the big screen.
